Nine suites, one long pool, and nowhereyou have to be.

Experiences

Things worthgetting up for.

  1. The spa

Ayurvedic oils and a herbal steam in a pavilion open to the garden, ninety minutes at a time.

A therapist preparing oils at a table in an open pavilion, white pillars and a garden behind.
  2. The stilt fishermen

Along the coast at first light, before anyone else is up.

Stilt fishermen perched on wooden poles in the shallows off a palm lined beach.
  3. Whale watching

Blue whales off Mirissa from December to April. Boats leave at six.

Tall coconut palms on a red earth headland above a turquoise bay at Mirissa.
  4. Surf lessons

Gentle breaks a short tuk-tuk ride away, with boards and a teacher.

Two surfers paddling out through clear turquoise water, seen from above.
  5. A day in the tea

Up into the hill country for a plantation lunch, back by dusk.

Tea terraces folding over green hills, with a red earth road winding through them.
